BarberKadabra

We are BarberKadabra, the all-female barbershop chorus from the Rhein-Main region. We are based in Mainz, but we also rehearse regularly on the other side of the Rhein in Wiesbaden, thereby contributing to ‘local cultural understanding’.

Since 2017, we have been singing with a current membership of around 25, under the direction of Silke Wüllner, who fulfilled a dream by founding the chorus: “What a dream can do” was our major video project during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our aim is to convey messages on socially relevant topics through the wonderful music of barbershop. We are committed to solidarity and equality for all people and wish to raise awareness of climate protection, compassion and peace. To this end, we also love to use arrangements by German arrangers.

Our motto: ‘Creating sparkling moments’.

Our motivation: ‘Constant improvement, both musically and in our performance’.

We were rewarded for this at the Barbershop Music Festival 2026: We won the Crescendo Prize!
