Peter Cunningham
BHS certified singing judge, coach and educator
Peter heads the Department of Music and Dance as well as the Choirs and Vocal Department at Kilgore College and has been an active member of the Barbershop Harmony Society since 2008.
As a certified singing judge, he is also a member of the Singing Category Board of Review and has been a faculty member of Harmony University since 2017.
Peter's performances include the role of lead singer with The Academy, winners of the 2014 International Collegiate Quartet Championships, and lead and baritone with Southern Stride at the 2018 World Mixed Quartet Contest. He currently sings lead with Opus IV, winners of the 2024 Southwestern District Quartet Championships and 21st place at the 2025 International Quartet Competition.
In addition to his work as a singer, Peter is a sought-after lecturer and coach who has worked with youth events, choirs, quartets and individual singers worldwide.
