“Sunday Sunday" is the motto on Sunday, 22 March 2020 at the BaseCamp in Bonn (In der Raste 1) where Monday Monday, the all women Jazz, Pop and Barbershop chorus, founded in 2018, will be presenting their new repertoire.
From 17:00 on (admission 16:30) some 30 singers - directed by Amelie Sofie Schoo - will perform a colourful mix of jazz and pop music.
Monday Monday will present a taste of its repertoire on the Base Camp stage. You will hear evergreens such as "Moon River" and "I Got Rhythm" beside pop songs like "Yesterday" by the Beatles and "Happy Together" by the Turtles and of course "Monday Monday" by the Mamas and the Papas.
Monday Monday sing all their songs a capella, so there will be no accompanying instruments.
The choir has invited the duo Daniel Bongart und Carola Heyden, also from Bonn. Daniel Bongart is a singer-songwriter. In his songs he tells us stories of people, their secrets and emotions. This makes his songs very emotional. The soulful interaction of guitar and voice adds depth to his profound personal lyrics. Carola Heyden accompanies Daniel Bongart on her cello. Her cello playing is more than just a musical accompaniment; it creates the basis for the musicians' musical arrangements which may sound fragile one moment and very powerful the next, thus making their harmonious teamplay a very special experience.
Monday Monday are very much looking forward to this concert, especially to be able to share the sound and the joy of singing with the audience.
Admission to the concert is free, but the musicians are happy to receive a donation.
